Prevent brain overload from becoming a life interrupted
Have you ever experienced brain overload (what I call brainus interruptus) – which leads to a life interrupted?
A tip for your Time Management Revolution if you have Brain Overload and don’t want a life interrupted
If you have an active work life or personal life or both, your brain is full of thoughts, questions, memories, details for upcoming events, and so on.
When we don’t have a reliable place to capture all of the ideas that pop into our head, our brain just keeps spitting those ideas out at us because it’s afraid we’re going to forget. This is part of the reason why so many of us find it hard to stay focused. When your brain is swirling around all those ideas up there, it can’t concentrate, and that lowers your productivity, which we don’t want.
That’s why it’s really important to carry your Brainus Interruptus Deflector Shield.
What the heck is a Brainus Interruptus Deflector Shield?!?
That means if you are paper inclined, carry around a small notepad or sticky notes with you, or even use napkins that are nearby. If you’re digitally inclined, you’ll most likely have your phone or a tablet with you nearly everywhere you go. Whichever mode you are, make sure that you capture your ideas when they pop into your head so you can go back to focusing on the task that’s at hand.
When your mind is clear, you’ll be able to make better decisions about how you use your time.
Since everyone has different learning styles, below are two different delivery methods to help you learn these productivity tools.
