How to Get Organized for the Last Quarter of the Year
Wondering how to get organized and gear up for the rest of the year?
Summer is over. School has been back in session for over a month. There are just over 100 days left in the year. Did you ease up on goals you’ve set for the year? Let’s take a look at the goals we want to accomplish. Let’s talk about how to get organized in this final quarter of 2017. Look at the big picture but also look at how tiny changes can make a big impact in our lives.
Vicki St. Clair, host of Conversations Live with Vicki St. Clair (live from Seattle, WA, on 1150 KKNW) invited me to chat about how to be more productive and less stressed. On my fourth visit of the year, we continued our conversation about time management:

Is there any pattern during this time of year?
If you’re feeling discombobulated or if you had a different schedule during the summer, what are some first steps to get back on track?

Is it possible to disconnect?
Is burnout a badge of honor in America?
People actually lose three hours per day?
We have a listener question:
“I am so burned out I can’t seem to get my energy levels to where they were. I work an average of 55 hours per week – at my office – and then take work home with me. My kids complain. My husband tells me to rest. My parents tell me to push back on my manager’s demands. But he expects everyone to be pumping 7 days a week. It’s not just him, it’s company mantra. Life’s not fun anymore…I can’t afford to quit. But in many ways I feel I’ve quit living.”
Stated vs Perceived – In some companies, people are afraid not to be visible. If that’s the case, should we find another job?
How do we get out of living in reactionary mode, defensive mode?
Let’s talk about national “holidays” related to time management and how to get organized:
Procrastination Day – How do we deal with that?
National Preparedness Month – What are a few tips to help us?
Any final thoughts?
