How to Be Successful with Lunar New Year Resolutions
Happy Lunar New Year! Lunar New Year’s Eve was celebrated on January 21st this year to ring in the Year of the Rabbit (or Year of the Cat in Vietnam). The celebration continues for 16 days. Whether you celebrate Lunar New Year, Chinese New Year or Gregorian New Year (many countries’ traditional January 1 kick off), or none of the above, it’s a great time to assess your New Year resolutions.
In regard to your New Year resolutions (or goals), have you:
1. chosen one primary resolution or goal on which to focus?
2. brainstormed or mapped out what steps to take to reach that goal?
3. scheduled time on your calendar to complete those steps?
These are the three main tactics to use to be successful with your New Year resolution or any goal you set throughout the year.
Should you find yourself struggling – or if you’ve struggled in the past with goal achievement and want to prevent those struggles from becoming frustrations and disappointments – consider enlisting the help of:
*an app that provides you with daily tips, motivation and/or tracking or journaling.
*an accountability partner with whom you can share your next stepping stone, successes and challenges.
*a support group you can meet with virtually or in person to learn with and grow from others, as well as get help when necessary.
*a coach who will give you expert individual guidance and support to help you achieve your goal.
Here’s to your New Year resolutions and successful goal achievement!
