Groundhog Day and Time Management

Did you know that February is National Time Management Month? It seems ironic that someone chose the shortest month of the year for this occasion. But in 2024, Leap Day occurs, so we’ll have an extra day this February!

February also celebrates Groundhog Day, so Old Punxsutawney Phil will soon be checking his shadow. Or, more accurately, humans will be checking to see whether or not he casts a shadow.

Have you checked yours? Your shadow, I mean.

Are there any projects or time management challenges that are overshadowing you?

What’s weighing you down? From what do you want to be unburdened?

Make a list of the challenges that are bothering you, prioritize them, and dive in. Take just one step toward eliminating the first item on your list. Get rid of that shadow!

Phil does not have a choice about whether or not he casts a shadow, but you do. Step out of the shadow and into the light!

If you want to play along for a tad bit longer with this whole Groundhog Day theme, here’s a question for you to consider:

What do groundhogs, candles and patterns have in common with time management?
