Villages in Italy - 2022 - Details
In Italy
Transportation Between Villages: The most difficult part of traveling in this region is figuring out transportation. Trains only go to large towns. Buses can have spotty schedules or require multiple transfers to reach some of the towns. Navigating roads and finding parking are no easy tasks. Italy also has one of the strictest drunk driving laws in the world. All of these worries can be brushed aside because we will have professional drivers!
Accommodation: The next most challenging piece of logistics in this area is finding a place to stay that has air conditioning and en suite bathrooms. Done! We’ll be sleeping in 3- and 4-star accommodations. Keep in mind, though, we will be staying in centuries-old structures in rural areas, so wifi will be quite spotty, and there will not be any concierges to serve you. However, your quaint surroundings will more than make up for that. You’ll receive our accommodations list approximately three months before departure. Prices are based on double occupancy.
Meals: Whether you’re a foodie or want to be one, you’ll have plenty of chances to enjoy the delectable foods of the region. All breakfasts are included. Lunches and dinners are included where noted on the itinerary. We opted not to arrange every single meal so that you would have the chance to experiment with grazing or feasting – whichever you prefer – on your own terms. When we have group meals in these remote villages, every effort will be made to accommodate those with dietary requests and most especially those with food allergies. Please be sure to submit your travel questionnaire (you'll receive a link to this approximately five months before departure) so we can work with our local hosts to provide what you need.
Small Group Size: In order to secure transportation that can deposit us in smaller villages, our group will be limited to a maximum of 14 people. Space is first come, first served – and not official until you receive a confirmation email that your deposit has been received.
