Can you believe that it is Q4 already? Here’s what you need to do so you can end the year on a high note.
Number 1, reflect on everything that you’ve accomplished this year, whether it’s huge or whether it’s little. You need to be proud of everything that you have gotten done.
Next, take a look at what else is on your project list or to-do list. You have 1, 2, maybe 3 months left in the year depending on when you’re reading this. So think about this: what are the most important projects on the list that you need to complete? Because it might be that you don’t have time to complete all of them well.
So take a look at what those priorities are. And this goes for both your professional life and your personal life. What do you truly want to get accomplished?
Once you pick those 1, 2, maybe 3 projects that you need to get accomplished by the end of the year, map out how much time it’s going to take, the steps that you need to take, and put placeholders on your calendar for when you’re going to work on those.
Because what you don’t want to happen is that the last 2 weeks of the year roll around, right in the middle of a lot of holidays, and you realize, oh my gosh, I still need to do X, Y and Z – and maybe even more than that.
So pause right now and give yourself credit for what you’ve accomplished so far this year. Then take a look at which projects you absolutely need to get done by the end of the year, and what steps you’ll take to accomplish that.
