Time Saving Summer Cocktails
Short on time but still want to relax? Or maybe you don’t want to spend more time on making a cocktail than actually drinking it? Whatever the case, here are two super easy-to-make summer cocktails that are perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day.
Limoncello Spritz
Ingredients:
Limoncello
Prosecco
Ice
Directions:
Fill a (preferably) chilled flute or wine glass with ice.
Combine equal parts of Limoncello and chilled Prosecco.
Kick up your feet and enjoy this delightful Italian cocktail!
Kir Royale
Ingredients:
Crème de cassis
Champagne
Directions:
Pour 1 TB of crème de cassis into a (preferably) chilled flute.
Top off with chilled champagne, approximately 5 oz.
Relax and pretend you’re sipping on this at a cafe in France!
Notes:
You can use Chambord (raspberry liqueur) if you don’t have crème de cassis (black currant liqueur).
No champagne? You can substitute with sparkling wine made in the champagne style. Be sure to use dry bubbly and not sweet.
The Kir Royale has a very interesting history plus variations (which technically change the name). Read here for some fun details and options.
Cheers!
Oh, one more thing….Please be aware: Because these are so crisp, cool and smooth, it’s easy to forget that they are 100% alcohol. Be sure to pace yourself!
