Leap Day 2024: A Gift of Time for You
When I first speak with new clients, many of them often mutter with exasperation, “I wish I had more time!” Or, “I have too much to do and not enough time!” Or, “There just aren’t enough hours in the day!” You get the picture, right?
Guess what? Here is terrific news if you feel the same way!
Once every four years or so, you are gifted with extra time – 24 hours, to be more precise. But if you’re like much of the world, you forget that you’re about to receive this gift of time and, therefore, don’t plan to take advantage of it.
To what gift am I referring? Why, it’s Leap Year! Which means, we’ll have a Leap Day 2024! That’s right. We will get one extra day in February. If you’ve ever wished for more time, here you go.
You don’t have to celebrate Leap Day 2024 and Leap Year exactly on February 29, especially since it’s during the work week. But technically, you’ve got an extra day this year, so what would you like to do with your gift of time?
Fun?
Lounge
Spend quality time with your family
Read
Arrange for a Zoom or Facetime meetup with loved ones you haven’t seen for some time?
Self-Care?
Get an extra hour of sleep on 24 different days? (That adds up to the extra 24 hours!)
Plan healthy meals for the upcoming month, create your grocery lists for them, and do one round of grocery shopping
Spend a day enjoying an outdoor activity
Make plans for your next vacation
Go on a hike
Stretch, meditate and reach your Zen moment
Tasks?
Straighten up your living areas
Hang that wall décor that’s been in boxes for a year
Scrub down the bathrooms and kitchen
Tidy up your landscaping
Start on that project you’ve been putting off
How will you take advantage of your bonus day this Leap Year?
