Best Morning Routine for a Productive Day
Recently, this question was posed by a journalist:
“We’re diving into the world of morning rituals. From meditation to a simple cup of coffee, how do everyday habits set the tone for productivity and well-being? We’re interested in learning about diverse routines and their effects on daily life. We’d love to hear about the practices that kickstart your day.”
This was my answer:
My most important morning routine actually happens the night before. I wake up already knowing what my priorities for the day are because I created that plan the afternoon prior. That allows me to sleep better and kick off my morning in a relaxed mode with a brief stretching routine, followed by breakfast, and then getting dressed in whatever attire I need for my hybrid schedule. In that calm state, it’s only then that I check my electronic communications to see if I need to modify my plan for the day. Because I’m in a calm state, I’m better able to handle any less-than-desirable news and problem-solve more efficiently. Starting my morning routine with calm and self-care helps me begin the day focused and ready for what might come my way.
Each person has a different morning routine, their own way of starting off their day on the right foot. What’s yours? Feel free to share below in the comments!
