How to Ensure Delegated Tasks Get Done

What is the best way to make sure a delegated task is completed? That, my friends, is called accountability. And the best way to make sure that there is accountability is to have a leadership accountability framework in place. That means it is clear:

*who the owner of the task is

*why they need to do it

*what steps they would like to complete in order to make sure that this task is finished in a high-quality manner.

*who is going to have eyes on the progress of the project

which means you have to identify:

*what progress means

*What are going to be those various checkpoints and milestones?

What is progress supposed to look like at that point?

*Who is going to measure that progress and how?

When that is clear and the entire team knows what is supposed to happen, then that means you have an accountability framework in place, and therefore the delegated task is far more likely to occur in a high-quality manner.
