Booking Preferences for Business Travel

Book Preferences for Business Travel

When I travel for work, I usually take care of all of my own bookings. However, when an event organizer asks me for my business travel preferences because they want to handle everything, I have my list of requests ready to go. I recently updated my travel booking preferences, so I thought I’d share it here. (For the reasons behind these preferences, you can take a peek here at my business travel tips.)

Flight

Stops:

1st choice – nonstop

2nd choice – 1 stop

3rd choice – See first or second choice

Departure Time:

from San Antonio – after 7:30 AM, with arrival in Event City by 5:30 PM for meet and greets

from Event City – not the last flight, if possible; would be great if I can stay after the event at least 30 minutes to answer individual questions

Connection:

75 minutes is preferred minimum.

2.5 hours is preferred maximum.

Seat:

Exit row, aisle seat on left side of plane (I need to extend my right leg, and I’m right handed, so this gives me more room on my right side.)

Hotel

1st choice – at event venue

2nd choice – within walking distance of event

3rd choice – within a 10-minute drive of event

Preferably one that offers a cooked breakfast

Room:

Upper floor

Away from elevator and ice machine

If you have any travel preferences that aren’t mentioned on this list, feel free to share below.
